Education
& Outreach

The Idlewild Theatre Company encourages Baldwin High School students to participate in theatre production through education and outreach programs. Several times during the year, Wallace Bridges, theatre professor at Eastern Michigan University, teaches acting workshops to drama students at nearby Baldwin High School. It is from these workshops that Professor Bridges and Linda Atwell, the Baldwin High School drama teacher, chooses interns to participate in the backstage in the upcoming productions. Plans are being made to develop student productions along with the traditional Idlewild Theatre Company productions.
